They were married at Nantahala Weddings and Events, surrounded by the quiet beauty of Western North Carolina. With sweeping mountain views and peaceful woodland surroundings, the ceremony setting gave us the dreamiest natural backdrop for timeless, romantic wedding portraits. The weather that day provided a dramatic backdrop!

We started the day at Wayah Bald for portraits — and it did not disappoint. The panoramic Blue Ridge Mountain views, layered ridgelines, and glowing light created an epic yet intimate feel in their images. Violet’s dress moved beautifully in the mountain breeze, and Justin couldn’t stop smiling at her — those in-between, candid moments are always my favorite to capture. Wayah Bald is truly one of the most stunning portrait locations in North Carolina for couples who love adventurous wedding photography.

Their day ended with an intimate reception at Cherokee Mountain Cabins, where they celebrated with their closest family and friends. The cozy mountain cabin atmosphere made every hug, toast, and laugh feel even more personal. Smaller receptions like this allow us to document genuine connection — the kind of imagery that feels emotional and real for years to come.
